Drive Syncing Issues

If your drive is taking longer than expected to sync, it is usually caused by intermittent gateway indexing delays.

ArDrive relies on Arweave gateways to index newly uploaded files, folders, and drive updates. During periods of heavy network activity or temporary gateway delays, your data may take longer to appear or sync across the app.

In most cases, this resolves on its own within a few hours.

What to do

  • Wait a few hours and check your drive again.

  • If the drive still looks stale, run a regular sync. If that does not find the missing files or folders, run a deep sync. See Sync Your Drive.

  • Refresh ArDrive or sign out and back in if the app still looks stale.

  • Advanced users can try changing the data gateway and GraphQL gateway. See Change Gateway URL For ArDrive.

  • If the problem lasts longer than a few hours, visit our contact page for outage updates or service status.
