INFERNO
We're proposing to award up to 50,000 ArDrive Tokens in our third Usage Mining Rewards program called Inferno.
What are Usage Mining Rewards?
ArDrive was built with the intention of getting permanent data storage into the hands of everybody. The ARDRIVE Token (ↁ) makes it so users can take part in the governance of ArDrive and help shape the future of the platform while benefitting from their contribution to the ecosystem.
Usage Mining Rewards are a reward program for users who upload data to ArDrive.
At the end of 2020, we launched our first Usage Mining Rewards program, Aztec. It encouraged permanent data uploads, brought in hundreds of new community members and provided tons of great feedback.
In 2021, we launched Dust, giving away 800 ArDrive tokens each day for more than six months. This created devoted core of daily uploaders and a growing monthly active user base.
The 2022, we're proposing a third usage rewards program, Inferno, designed to reward users with ↁ tokens for uploading data through the ArDrive suite of apps.
- Total number of tokens to be distributed: ↁ50,000
- 40,000 for Group Efforts
- 10,000 for Individual Efforts
- Upload stats are collected for the whole week, and rewards are sent out on the weekends.

ArDrive is not business as usual. We are becoming a Decentralized Autonomous Organization that is community owned and run. What we want is the users and the developers of the application to be aligned so we can create something great for the world, and all get to benefit from its success.
That means all token holders get to vote on the future of ArDrive, including our next Usage Mining Rewards program.
Due to issues with community.xyz during the original vote on Inferno and feedback from ArDrive token holders, we've decided to hold a revote on April 11-14, 2022.
